What should I wear?
Now this is the least of your worries because I’ll be sending you a style guide plus you’ll have me on hand via WhatsApp/Instagram/email for any personalised advice. When in doubt just think neutrals, neutrals, neutrals.
How far in advance do I need to book my photography session with you?
Please book in plenty of time so that I can accommodate you - in particular Newborn shoots should be booked once you have had your 20 week scan as I book a limited number of newborn shoots per month.
My weekends always fill up fast, so if you'd like your shoot to be on a Saturday or Sunday please let me know in plenty of time!
Who can be included in our Photography Session
I encourage Mum and Dad to be involved and of course, siblings. For additional family members, like grandparents there is a cost of £25 per person.
What is the best age to photograph my Baby?
I love photographing babies of all ages and am very flexible as to when your session takes place. For the fresh newborn look I would recommend scheduling your session for 5 to 10 days after your due date. But, if you'd like to give yourself a little more time to settle that is absolutely fine too.
How long will the Photography Session last?
Family & Maternity shoots last around 60/70 minutes. Newborns a little longer - I like to allow 2 hours so that we can stop for feeds, cuddles and nappy changes (these in between moments can also make beautiful images).
How many images are included in my session?
After your photography session I will send you a digital gallery of at least 40/50 images edited images. Once you have viewed them you can decided how many images you'd like and if you want to go ahead an upgrade.
I will never share, unedited RAW files, so please do not ask.
When do I pay?
To secure your booking I ask for a £50 deposit (you'll receive an invoice form me once your date is confirmed). One week before your shoot the remaining amount will be due.
What if we are camera shy?
This is totally normal. Even as a photographer I get camera shy. But don't worry, I will get to know you and your little ones before your session begins. For your children it will feel more like a play date full of natural, authentic moments. My style of photography does not involve props, awkward posing or cheesy grins and my most important piece of advice for your session is to relax and have fun.
My photoshoot is outside, what if rain stops play?
I won't reschedule a session until the evening before as we all know the weather in the UK is very changeable. If rain is forecast I will try and reschedule the session for as close to your original date as possible.
